Every Duck Life Game in Order, and Which Ones You Can Play Here

Duck Life started as a Flash game by Wix Games, a small studio in Brighton, England, in March 2010. Nine numbered games and a couple of spin-offs later the loop is still the same — train a duck, race it — but each entry changed something. Here is the order, what each one added, and which ones you can play on this site today.

Duck Life (2010)

The original. A tornado flattens your farm and the only thing left is one egg. Three skills (running, flying, swimming), an energy bar fed with seed, a shop with hats and paint, and four race tiers ending in the World Championship. This is the game on the front page of ducklife.app, in the modern browser build that replaced the Flash version.

Duck Life 2: World Champion (2011)

Adds a fourth skill, climbing, and takes the races around the world: the first game's beginner-to-champion ladder becomes a tour of countries, each with a champion duck to beat. Training games were redesigned and the shop grew accessories. Play Duck Life 2 here.

Duck Life 3: Evolution (2012)

The genetically modified ducks. You pick one of four types (athletic, strength, flying, swimming) and it physically evolves as it levels, with league races instead of one-off events. The training minigames are new again and there is a levelling cap per evolution stage. Play Duck Life 3 here.

Duck Life 4 (2013)

The biggest of the classic four: six areas with their own trainers, a wider shop, and the first version with an actual map to travel across. Not on this site at the moment: the only browser copies we can find either load their files from a host that has since gone offline or wrap the game in an ad overlay, so the page was taken down rather than left broken.

Duck Life 5: Treasure Hunt (2014)

A change of format: instead of racing, your duck explores a cave system, dodging traps and collecting treasure, with the skills becoming abilities for the run. Same situation as Duck Life 4 — no clean copy to serve, so no page for now.

Duck Life 6: Space (2016)

Back to racing, on other planets, with an energy-drink mechanic and a much longer campaign. Also not hosted here yet, for the same reason.

Duck Life 7: Battle (2018)

Races are joined by duels: your duck fights other ducks with equipped weapons and armour, and the skill stats double as combat stats. Play the Lite browser version of Duck Life: Battle here — pick English on the flag screen it opens with.

Duck Life 8: Adventure (2020)

A full open-world RPG with quests, a big map and a lot of ducks. The browser build is nearly 150 MB and starts with a video intro that our test browser could not get past, so it is not on the site until we can verify it plays.

Duck Life 9: The Flock (2022) and after

The Flock lets you train a whole team of ducks and swap between them mid-race; there is also a Retro Pack bundling remakes of 1 to 3. Those are download and mobile releases rather than browser games.

Which one to start with

If you have never played any of them, the original on the front page is still the cleanest version of the idea and takes about an hour to reach the championship. Duck Life 3 is the one most people remember from school, mainly because the evolutions look good. Battle is the outlier: it is as much a fighting game as a racing one.
